Trecking
For those who love direct conctact with nature you may choose to take an excursion along one of the many paths leaving Cavo. In spring and autumn guided excursions are organized at no charge by the Parco Nazionale dell'Arcipelago Toscano, the WalkingFestival.
Alternatively in other periods you may partecipate at one of the excursions organized by the Nordik Walking Association of Rio Marina.
Sub and Veils
For those who 'can't keep out of the water' there's the possibility to immerge yourselves in the beautiful tyrrhenian sea with MakoSub for learners and experts. With the Scuola di vela Utopia you may learn to navigate a sailboat.
The mines
From April to October the Mineral Park of Rio Marina organizes guided excursions by local train to the excavation site of the iron mines and the mineral museum of Rio Marina.
You may search for and collect minerals during the visit.
